My Brother Has Lost 40 Lbs In The Last Year

My brother has lost 40 lbs in the last year the dr has been treating him for copd. He was hospitalized for a week and put on steroids, antibiotics and oxygen. He went to another dr today and was told he has emphazima but not what stage. He is on a nebulizer using update opium bromide and albuterol sulfate inhalation solution.he was again given steroids and antibiotics and was told to quit using the break he gave him. I am concerned about the use of the steroids and antibiotics again. He is 60 yrs old and weighs 139 lb now. He has moved in with us because he can't take care of himself and can't walk very far.
