My Brother Has Schizo-affective Disorder. He Has Been Untreated For
My brother has schizo-affective disorder. He has been untreated for quite some time--now he's in
an acute care psychiatric facility. He was given risperidol (the doctor said). About 10 days later,
he experienced a seizure with loss of consciousness-. He has no history of seizure disorder.
The psychiatrist claims this as an inexplicable sudden late life onset of a seizure disorder!--
Isn't it the first thing for them to suspect risperidol as the cause of his seizures, and to prescribe my
brother a different anti-psychotic medication??
