My Brother Is Addicted To Oxycodone And Another Pain Killer.

My brother is addicted to oxycodone and another pain killer. He went to the Dr and was given a pill to help wean him off of the drugs. My concern is that he is still taking the drugs AND taking the meds the Dr. gave him. How would this effect him? He is also on high blood pressure meds. He exhibits detachment, sleepiness, confusion, erratic mood swings etc.
