My Brother That's 9 Years Old Played Outside And One

My brother that's 9 years old played outside and one of the children threw a brick on his foot, the foot is swollen but nothing on the toes just the top part and to the side is swollen he says its paining.What can i do to make the swelling go down? And to check if nothing is broken
