My Brother Was Diagnosed With Liver Cirrhosis And Has Already

My brother was diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis and has already had 3 paracentesis done in about 5 months. The last one they removed 8 liters. How often can a person go through this safely? He is very noncompliant and also is not taking any lactulose that I know of. He takes 2 meds one for BP and one diuretic.
