My chest x-rays came back abnormal. As a result, she is referring me to another MD to have a Pulmonary Function Test. The referral form indicates: "emphysematous changes." What does this mean and why the test? I have been experiencing shortness of breath, a dry cough that won't go away and sharp pain under my left breast.
