My Child Is 3 Months Old, I Think His Response

My child is 3 months old, i think his response toward sound/voices is very low, when he is ready to sleep and close his eyes in that time he response your voice but when he is playing himself, looking another side in that time is not responding your voice. His doctor suggests his for BERA Test? What is your opinion?
