My Clitoris Is Very Swollen And Painful. I Have Been

My clitoris is very swollen and painful. I have been using Canestan cream thinking it is thrush but it doesn't seem to help. I am diet controlled diabetic who has good healthy diet but has intermittent bouts of thrush. I visited a drop in clinic yesterday and saw a nurse who took my symptoms and though she didn't examine me(don't think I could have stood pain) my information was very detailed. She said it was probably thrush with a secondary infection?? She had prescribed Canestan pessaries (3) to administer 1 each evening and carry on using cream plus Flucloxacillin 500mg. I am also taking paracetamol. When can I expect to feel some relief because it is extremely uncomfortable and debilitating.
