My Cousin, 72, Had A Pacemaker Inserted In The Summer.

My cousin, 72, had a pacemaker inserted in the summer. Two weeks ago while driving, he fainted,flerw 200 feet and landed on an embankment. He is alive and somewhat okay, but we are concerned. Could the pacemaker be the cause of his fainting since he did not have that problem before the surgery? Is it safe for him to drive again? What can be done to prevent the fainting?
