My Dad Abruptly Quit Drinking 2 Weeks Ago. He Went

My dad abruptly quit drinking 2 weeks ago. He went into severe alcohol withdrawal about 10 days ago, and has been hospitalized since 6 days ago, and has had a lot of valium. He is barely waking up , not really recognizing family. He has not eaten in 6 days. How long should this continue? He has not had a dose of valium in 51 hours.
