My Dad Collapsed And Had An Head Injury But Brown

My dad collapsed and had an head injury but brown fluid was coming from his mouth. He was sitting in the chair at first but found laying on the floor. He later died from a bleed to the head. So could you tell me what the brown liquid could of been due to?
