My Dad Had His Uvula Swollen, He Does Not Know

My dad had his uvula swollen, he does not know the cause of it, it seems like his uvula is hanging. He has breathing problems due to his swollen uvula. What could of been the cause? And how can he treat it? Is there any special treatment or a home remedy?
