My Dad Has A Hard Time Understanding What You're Talking

My dad has a hard time understanding what you're talking about when we talk to him and he makes us repeat ourselves over and over. He's 80 yrs old and in pretty good health, still goes to the gym. He cant hear very well but like I said cant understand what we say and when I say it louder and slower he gets irritated.
