My Dad Has Diabetes. His Dr. Recently Changes His Dosage

My dad has diabetes. His Dr. recently changes his dosage of insulin and it is causing his sugar levels to go up rather than down. He went to the hospital today. After many tests, they discovered that his white blood cell count was high. He is still feeling weak and lightheaded. Would the insulin affect his white blood count?
