My Dad Has Had Copd For 18 Yrs. He Is

My dad has had copd for 18 yrs. He is just trying to quit smoking now. The last 6 months he has gone down hill tremendously and I read that stage 3/4 of copd can leave you with a life expectancy of 8.5 yrs. He is in bed about 3 days a wk right now. His active daily living has changed so much and I guess what I want to know is if to you if it sounds like it's coming to the end for him. I can see it is
