Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad is 70 yrs old and had a triple bypass 5 month and 20 days prior to his heart attack two of his bypassed arteries where blocked again or collapsed. He has a catheterization done and 2 stents where implanted. 3 days later my dad weren't in for emergency surgery for a blood clot in his foot. At this point the Dr was at awe of why he had developed a blood clot even after taking blood thinners. They did an ultra sound in his stomach there was no hemeriging. 2 days later the performed another ultra sound of his heart and the 2 stents had lapsed and my dad has his mital regulatory valve leaking. There's nothing the cardiologist can do for my dad since he has other complications. He smiled for 40 yrs and has been smoke free for 8 yrs now. My dad was born with his heart smaller than a woman's heart and his arteries are as narrow as a toothpick making things worse. My question is what is the life expectancy moreless with all these complications. He has lost 30lbs in 2 weeks.
