My Dad Is 76, Has Heart Problems And A Defibrillator,

My dad is 76, has heart problems and a defibrillator, he has been having TIA'S since approx May this year. Has 90% blockage in his carotids and is high risk for surgery due to his heart which we found out is functioning at 16%. Drs say he might have a year. What do you think?
