My Dad Is 87yrs Old He Has Rheumatoid Arthritis And

My dad is 87yrs old he has Rheumatoid Arthritis and has been on Plaquenil for a while and he does not get on the computer or would know how to use it...........well what they said at the eye doctor his left eye was melting. Been working on fixing it hopefully. But what they did was take him off the Plaquenil a.k.a HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE and to help his eye they increased his Prednisone. What are the increase of this medicine be he cant eat or swallow is this a side affect.
