My Dad Is 90 Years Old, And Was Burned Inside

My dad is 90 years old, and was burned inside his nose, and outside at the tip, in a steel mill accident many, many years ago. He has been getting nose bleeds from the same nostril. He says its from "dry nose" but all the wile his nose drips clear fluid he calls "allergies" Why does his nose bleed?
