My Dad Is Experiencing Swelling Around The Jawline Below Ears

My dad is experiencing swelling around the jawline below ears and ankles and feet (more so the right) he says it's cause he is constipated but I'm worried it's his heart as he has aphib(sp?) And a blockage (he isn't honest with how blocked) he is a pasty ash color in his face and refuses to go to the hospital.... can constipation do that to u?
