My Dad Lives With Me His Daughter And Caregiver. He
My dad lives with me his daughter and caregiver. He has seizures, which he takes medication for. He has had bladder cancer, in remission. Heart trouble with stints put in 20 yrs ago. He got up this morning and could not walk. He can hardly use his left arm. Has no strength. He did not want me to call ambulance because if he gets put into a hospital he cannot smoke. Also he has Sundown Syndrome which makes him crazy when he is "out of his area". Hospital usually calls police and they handcuff his arms and feet to the bed and he screams, he was a POW, and he pulls on the cuffs so hard he starts to bleed everywhere. What could have caused his disability in not being able to walk, I can't put in vehicle to take to a doctor for treatment. He wants to die at home but I don't think I can get him to a doctor. I am working with home health care nurse to get him in a veterans nursing home but it takes time. What could have caused him to wake up and not be able to walk? Thank you.
