My Dad Losses Track Of Time , He Can Not

My dad losses track of time , he can not talk , he can not focus nor walk. After a few hours , hes back to normal and you he can not remember anything . In one of these episodes I went emergency but they found nothing. They did an MRI and many analysis, and everything went well. Why does this happen and after all of the analysis are ok?
