My Daughter (13 Months) Has Been Pulling At Her Ears

My daughter (13 months) has been pulling at her ears and when I looked at them tonight with am otoscope she has what looks like a tiny speck of dried blpod on her ear drum. It looks like it's on the inside of the eardrum not outer. What could this be?
