My Daughter (age 3) And My Son (20 Months) Both

My daughter (age 3) and my son (20 months) both have a persistent cough that keeps them from getting very good sleep, lots of boogers, and a low to mid grade fever for the past 4 days (which also tends to cause rapid breathing in my kids). Today, they woke up with mucus even coming out of their eyes. Last night, my daughter coughed so hard that she vomited.
When the fever went over 102 and they were miserable, we gave them infant ibuprofen, But, otherwise, we have hoped that the fever would fight the virus. Going on 5 days now I am worried that I am missing something.
