My Daughter Got Bit By Something This Weekend On Her

My daughter got bit by something this weekend on her leg. It's red and hard around the bite. Yesterday it was hot a had a yellowish puss. Today it doesn't seem to be hot and there is less puss. Still some puss but not nearly as much as yesterday. Should I be concerned or continue to monitor? She said it doesn't itch.
