My Daughter Had 3 Seizures. 1 At The Age Of

My daughter had 3 seizures. 1 at the age of 2, she was just staring. then the same thing around 4. then at 7 she had a grand mal. Eventually, they tested and retested and took her off medication and no further seizures. At the age of 17 she had an episode where she loss control of what she was holding in her hands for a brief second and felt a little weird. Now they've diagnosed her with epilepsy after more testing. is it possible that she had epilepsy all along and never had a seizure for 10 years?
