My Daughter Had Acrylic Fingernails Professionally Put On And After

My daughter had acrylic fingernails professionally put on and after a week developed a green fungus/mold under one nail. We immediately took the nails off and waited a few months before getting them put back on of which she developed another fungus on the same nail. We went to a different salon the second time so we don't believe the issues was the cleanliness of the salon utensils. She has since had the nails off for two months and has been gently filing the fungus part on the nail at least once a week. She has recently mentioned that her nail hurts and the cuticle is now puffy. Please advise what we can do at home? Thank you.
