My Daughter Has A Liver Disorder Which Has Resulted In

My daughter has a liver disorder which has resulted in an enlarged spleen. At first her GI said no contact sports. When I recently asked about her playing softball, she said that although her spleen is enlarged, it's not very fragile since it has been growing steadily over time (not all of a sudden when the tissue would be thinner). She didn't really give me a yes or no answer and I was wondering if it would be safe for her to play if we used a spleen guard (and where do you find them?)
