My Daughter Has A Perianal Abscess Which Is Being Packed

My daughter has a perianal abscess which is being packed daily. 3rd week on she is in agony,nurse said it maybe granulating.packing is coming regularly I feel helpless watching suffer.she also has a fistula with a stitch in her back passage. She has to decide whether to have the fistula removed which may leave her slightly incontentant.what is the best way forward to heal this abscess different nurses each day no continuety and I feel they are not packing ii correctly.can you give me any advice my daughter is only 22 thank you deb
