My Daughter Has A Tiny White Bug On Her Head.

My daughter has a tiny white bug on her head. I searched her head immediately because she was crying in pain and found a tiny bite mark. I did not however find any more of the white bug. I have seen, find head lice on my sisters' heads before but this time there was only one. What else could it be besides lice?
