My Daughter Has Been Complaining Of A Sore Gum. I

My daughter has been complaining of a sore gum. I took a look last week and it looked like a scratch. Last night she said there was a bump, so I looked and it looked like there was tissue coming from her gum under her tooth. I used a dental pick and removed it and it looked weird. Today I pulled out more stuff what I I initially thought was tissue but almost looked like soggy bread. What could this be?
