My Daughter Has Been Diagnosed With Wernike's/ Korsakoff And Resides

My daughter has been diagnosed with Wernike's/ Korsakoff and resides in a nursing home. She had been on many drugs for years due to her "failed back surgery" syndrome. She did not drink. She has a pain pump that delivers medicine but in small amounts. Could this be a contributing factor, or cause this syndrome?
