My Daughter Has Been Having High Temperatures For The Last

My daughter has been having high temperatures for the last two days. On doctors advice we have been giving her calpol regularly throughout the day. Tonight in bed she is cold and soaked in Sweat and her temperature is normal. Should we continue with the calpol?
