My Daughter Has Just Gotten New Gas Permeable Lenses And

My daughter has just gotten new gas permeable lenses and they fog up almost immediately after putting them in her eyes. She got hard lenses for the first time about 8 years ago and wore them for a couple years with no problem. Then they got cloudy. She got brand new ones about a week ago and they become cloudy within a few minutes of putting them in her eyes. Since she hasn't worn them for more than a couple days I don't think this could be caused by protein buildup. Any ideas? She doesn't have a follow up appt. until next week and I just wanted to investigate issue before then. thanks
