My Daughter In-law Is 52 She Is A Heavy Drinker

My daughter in-law is 52 she is a heavy drinker she has been having acid reflux and she is now experiencing bouts of nausea and cant keep food down she has drop 15- 20 lbs in about 6 weeks she also has pain in her abdomen.. what could be causing this. Could she have a herniated esophagi ?
