My daughter is 14 and she's experiencing hormonal acne, it's a mild acne but keeps on coming which prevents total healing of her face.

The doctor gave her differen to try and it helps but as mentioned above new ones keep coming.

The doctor advised taking ginet (hormonal pill - contraceptive) to balance the hormone which causes the breakouts. Do you think this will help? What would be the side effects of this considering she's only 14.
