My Daughter Is 17 And Has Had Periods More Frequent

My daughter is 17 and has had periods more frequent than 28 days, sometimes twice a month. Her cramping is painful and she says her whole body aches, headaches, just wants to lie on couch and strong emotional swings as well. Currently, she is on her 2nd PD this month and came home after school c/o sharp pain at left upper quadrant and stating painful to touch L>R. Seems to wax and wane this evening. She did eat some solid food without problem and currently sleeping comfortably. Set up gym appt 9/2. Should she be seen sooner or anything we can do in meantime?
Thank you!
