My Daughter Is 6 Years Old, She Is Going To

My daughter is 6 years old, she is going to her grandparents over the weekend and will be riding a horse (she will be lead around on a horse). The last time she did this she had runny nose, watery swollen eyes. I gave her Benadryl and she cleared up. Can I give her Benadryl prior to her getting on the horse to prevent the alergic action.
