My Daughter Is 8 Months Old And Has Been Having

My daughter is 8 months old and has been having a hard time with pooping to the point her doctor has put her on medication for it. She takes it once a week due to the doctor wants her bowls to move without help of the medication. She has not had the medication in three days now and when she pooped today it smelled like acid reflux. What could cause this? Her dad has corons decease
