My Daughter Is Suffering From TMJ For 2 Weeks Now.

My daughter is suffering from TMJ for 2 weeks now. Wears a mouth guard for lacrosse and has wisdom teeth growing in. I have an apt with an oral surgeon for wisdom teeth. Should I wait until then or should she have it checked by a different kind of MD. She has trouble opening her mouth all the way and it clicks.
