My Daughter Started What I Thought Was Her Period A

My daughter started what I thought was her period a week and a half early. The problem is it only lasted 3 days and it wasn't red, it was brownish. She always cycles between her sisters and she hasn't started yet. She was due last Thursday. What I want to know is, was it her period or could she be pregnant
