My Daughter Was Diagnosed With Thyroid Cancer. Had Her Thyroid

My daughter was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Had her thyroid removed on August 22. Went to her obgyn this past Monday, Oct 1st. Had a pap and was diagnosed with gohhnorea. Her husband has been diagnosed as negative. They have been only sexually active with each other for over 6 years. Needless to say they are both a mess. Could the surgery have caused a false positive?
She is being retested tomorrow with no results until Tuesday.
