My Daughter White Blood Cells Are High, We Didn't Get

My daughter white blood cells are high, we didn't get the test back yet.What does it mean? And she only has 1 kidney & has had a kidney stone for over a year now. What is the best way to to help her? She is in the hospital now,but we are still waiting for the test.
