My Doctor Diagnosed Salmonella Because I Had Eaten Pre'cut Melon

My doctor diagnosed Salmonella because I had eaten pre'cut melon from the grocery store. I did not get a stool culture to confirm ecause the diarhhea had subsided by yhr time I got the container. Back on a regular diet after 3 days of bananas, rice, applesauce and toasr,howeve, my stools are still not formed or back to normal. Doctor is on vacation. Just wondering if maybe wasnot Salmonellq.
