My Doctor Had Previously Prescribed Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray, 50

My doctor had previously prescribed fluticasone propionate nasal spray, 50 mcg and I've been using it for about 8 months without significant difference/improvement. This last week he prescribed Veramyst, which appears to be a very similar drug, however has not be pre-approved by my insurance. for the $229 cost of the Veramyst, I am trying to discern whether there is a real difference in the drug to warrant my getting this new prescription filled, given that I haven't seen much benefit in the fluticasone propionate.
