My Doctor Has Prescribed Galantamine Er 8 Mg For Me

My doctor has prescribed Galantamine Er 8 mg for me to try to assist with my focus and memory. I am 71 and still working full time. She said that it is used to treat Alzheimers and could possibly help with more mental clarity. My pharmacist says that it has several side affects that I should watch for. I am wondering if it is worth the risk trying this. Do you know of the benefits and studies surrounding this?
