My Doctor Is Insisting That I Get The Surgery To

My doctor is insisting that I get the surgery to burn or freeze lower dysplazia related to Barrett's esophagus. He's also recommending endoscope every 3 months indefinitely. I would consider the surgery but the steady routine of anesthesia I don't want to consider. He's had me on Pantoprazole for quite some time (about 7 or 8 months) and I have no heartburn whatsoever. Your opinion please?
