My Doctor Is On Vacation And I Can't Get Anyone

My doctor is on vacation and I can't get anyone to help me. I take Percocet 7.5 4 times a day for chronic
pain. This was my first visit to my new general doctor. She said if I needed an adjustment to just call her and schedule an appointment. But....she is on vacation and the receptionist won't help me.... Can I just up my dose to 6 per day and explain later that the 4 times a day didn't help and will she understand? I can't see her for another 2 weeks. Thanks
