My Doctor Prescribed Me Cipro Antibiotic For Epidydimitus. I Don't

My doctor prescribed me cipro antibiotic for epidydimitus. I don't think that the medicine is working with four days left to take it. I am experiencing severe pain in the testicle. I don't have a follow up appointment until next month. Should I try to rule out what caused this by getting a urine or blood test? I had an ultrasound already.
