My Doctor Put Me On Cefadroxil For An Infected Cyst

My doctor put me on Cefadroxil for an infected cyst that just showed up 1 day. I took 3 pills- by the third day left side of face went numb- not taking prescription anymore-looks like it shrunk a little & not bothering me. Doctor says if it doesn't go away in a few days need to get back to the doctor. Will be a week Thursday that this has been there. Have tried hot baths, hot compresses, drawing salve & Epsom salt to get it to a head-but not happening. Will this eventually go away or will I have to have it removed.
